Bills & Cash Flow

The Bills & Cash Flow page projects your recurring money movements forward so surprises don't land in your account.

It combines two server-computed feeds: upcoming bills (recurring outflows like subscriptions and loan payments, plus recurring inflows like paychecks, detected from your transaction history, looking 60 days ahead) and a day-by-day cash-flow forecast of your projected account balance (looking 30 days ahead). Three stat tiles sit at the top: Upcoming outflow, Projected balance, and Projected low point, which turns red and warns of overdraft risk when it dips below zero. Below them are the Cash-flow forecast chart and the Upcoming bills list. The page follows the account switcher's scope (All, Personal, or a specific Business) exactly like Transactions.

How to

See what bills are coming up

  1. Open Bills & Cash Flow from the sidebar.
  2. Check the Upcoming outflow tile for the total expected over the next 60 days and how many recurring bills were detected.
  3. Review the Upcoming bills list, grouped by month and sorted by due date.
  4. Each row shows an arrow icon, the merchant with a cadence badge (Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual, or Irregular), how many times it has been seen and the last date, the expected amount (red with a minus for money going out, green with a plus for money coming in), and 'due' followed by the next date.
  5. Use the account switcher at the top to view bills for All accounts, just Personal, or a specific Business.

Spot an overdraft before it happens

  1. Look at the Projected low point tile — if it is red, your balance is projected to go negative.
  2. Read the line beneath it: '⚠ overdraft risk on' plus the date shows when the dip is expected. If no dip is projected it says 'no dip projected'.
  3. Study the Cash-flow forecast chart: the dashed line is zero, and any part of the line entering the shaded red band is a projected overdraft. The date labels under the chart show the start, middle and end of the 30-day window.
  4. Move money in or adjust spending before that date to stay above zero.

Reference

Upcoming outflow · next 60d
The total of all recurring outgoing bills the detector expects over the next 60 days, with a count of recurring bills detected.
Projected balance · 30d
Where your account balance is projected to land at day 30 of the forecast, after recurring bills and your typical daily discretionary spend.
Projected low point
The lowest balance projected during the 30-day forecast, with the date it occurs. Shown in red with '⚠ overdraft risk on' when negative.
Cadence badge
How often a bill recurs — Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual, or Irregular — inferred from the spacing of past charges.
Discretionary spend note
Under the chart: 'Assumes ~$X/day of discretionary spend, based on your recent history.' The forecast subtracts this each day on top of the recurring bills.
balances refreshing…
A yellow badge shown when the starting balance used for the forecast is still syncing from your linked accounts, so the projection may shift once it settles.
Empty states
'Not enough history to forecast yet' appears in place of the chart until your accounts have synced a few weeks of activity. 'No recurring bills detected yet' appears in the list until bills can be spotted.
